Was treated by my spouse to a birthday dinner at Little and what a treat it was! It was our first visit and we'll definitely be back! We sat at the chef's counter, which was fun. All the staff were friendly and attentive. They greeted us with a couple of glasses of Prosecco on the house for my birthday. We ordered the marinated olives (tasty) and the aguachile for appetizers. The aguachile is like ceviche; this version had raw scallops, a tomatillo sauce, and was dressed with some microgreens like celeriac...it was delightful! Fresh, bright flavors and the scallops were so soft and tender. Then we shared the pappardelle with braised rabbit, hazelnuts and a pecorino romano sauce as well as more scallops--which were sautéed perfectly and accompanied by a base of butternut squash puree and sautéed bok choy. Both dishes were phenomenal and full of flavor. We closed out the night with a tasty pumpkin cream pie that had a graham cracker crust and coconut cream filling, and a sort of chocolate mousse with chocolate cake "croutons" and candied/dried cranberries...soooo tasty. Decent selection of wines as well, primarily French and Italian varieties.
Dining at Little on Mountain was a memorable experience, showcasing the beauty of farm-fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The small, carefully curated menu reflects a deep commitment to quality, with each dish thoughtfully prepared to highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients. The attention to detail was evident in every bite and the inviting ambience and knowledgeable, attentive service perfectly complemented the meal, making our birthday celebration even more special. For anyone who appreciates seasonal, locally inspired cuisine crafted with care, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit.
Been twice, both times for special occasions. Little has BIG flavors. Some really unique dishes can be on the menu. Wait staff are happy to offer recommendations and they are on point. We walked in once and they were great to accommodate, but I recommend you make a reservation.
This is an amazing place to eat, innovative beautiful plates that are perfect for sharing like tapas. Extensive drink list, fresh food from local farms. Tagliatelle was fabulous.
Great service. Good food but pricey. Drinks are excellent and there is a good wine menu that is reasonable. There is a $15/pp reservation deposit that goes towards your bill. However 4 of us rang out at $270 with 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, no desserts, and 6 drinks. Yikes!
After an amazing hike in Estes Park, we had such a delicious dinner at Little! Sitting at the bar with our friends was a great experience! Watching the chefs at work, enjoying their art of creating salads and desserts was a lot of fun! Our waiter, Maddog was outstanding! She was attentive and caring with our gluten free requests. The chef was so accommodating! We were so grateful for our wonderful and exceptional dining experience! We ate filet mignon, pork, lamb and local veggies. The prize was the over the top pumpkin soup with lobster! I could have just had more of that!!! The greens salad was enough for all 4! Dessert was an incredibly decadent flourless chocolate cake with English toffee and Chantilly cream!!! An OMG ending to a fabulous evening! Thanks Little we will be back!
This was the third time I've been back to Little, and it is as fabulous as ever! I met my parental unit for a spontaneous brunch and decided to give them the experience that Little is. We were greeted at the door by the wonderful Sarah, and taken to a family-style table on the heated enclosed patio (thankful for the heat on the chilly day). Sarah got our coffee orders immediately and gave us a few minutes to look over the brunch menu. My dad went for the pancakes with wild blueberry preserves, butter and maple syrup, and a side of their housemade sausage. My mom decided on the duck confit biscuits and gravy, and I got the bone marrow burger. Everyone was in heavenly gluttony with their dishes. The pancakes were exceptionally fluffy and flavorful with a very generous portion size, the biscuits were wonderfully moist thanks the the addition of duck confit with perfectly seasoned gravy, and my burger was smothered in rich cheese, caramelized onions and a healthy dose of mayonnaise. The grease dripped down my hands, and it was beyond worth the caloric intake! Sarah was exceedingly friendly and on top of her game, making sure our coffee cups and waters remained filled, and we enjoyed some very pleasant conversation with her. It's obvious she likes her job (she even told us she did, but it was apparent before) and I'm glad we happened in on a day where she was on shift. Dinner prices look a little heftier than brunch, but after having three brunches here, I'll definitely be splurging to try out their evening menu. Great food, amazing service and wonderful ambience.
